Oskar

Lichtfront's Flash® Mixing Application

Jörg Thommes and Ingo Pelmer, 2006

Similar to modern graphic compositing applications, Oskar uses a concept of layers to mix input graphics live. Flash® files with predefined sets of animations and sets of graphic elemets plus the ability to control each layer interactively give Lichtfront the flexibility to compose visuals of big variety.

Oskar has proven its performance and usability to provide the appropiate image output, both on many festivals and on cultural events.

Visualizer

Stephan Müller, Ingo Pelmer 2005

Lichtfront uses the Visualizer to create abstract 3d graphics for live video mixing. Via midi-controllers and a gamepad for camera control Lichtfront can animate small 3d scenes (including 3 independent objects) in realtime and adjust them to their needs.

You can link the 3d objects rotation and scaling to the beat, add noise to the movements and change shader, transparency or light.

Right now the developers are converting the Visualizer from a Shockwave® based prototype to a more powerful 3d engine to increase the amount of polygons and to add object based animation presets into the 3d scenes.

Enjoy Lichtfront's new tools on the upcoming festivals!
